Rasuwagadhi border point opens from today

RASUWA: The Nepal-China trade gateway Rasuwagadhi, which had remained closed since February 11, has resumed operations from Friday.

The border point with China, which was closed due to Lhosar, has been reopened.

According to Rasuwa Customs Office Chief Ram Prasad Regmi, seven containers carrying goods of Nepali traders have headed to Nepal from Kerung.

Chinese officials had informed the Nepali side about the opening of the checkpoint on Thursday evening.

Even though the customs administration was open, the trade at the checkpoint was halted for 23 days after the workers went on leave.

Traders importing summer clothes from China were worried after the Chinese side did not provide any information about the opening of the checkpoint.
