PM Oli following footsteps of former king Gyanendra: NCP leader Bhattarai

KATHMANDU: Leader of the Prachanda-Madhav Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party Yogesh Bhattarai has alleged Prime Minister KP Oli of treading on the path of former King Gyanendra Shah.

Speaking at a program in the capital on Tuesday, Bhattarai accused Oli of following the footsteps of the former king.

“People close to him (PM Oli) are saying federalism should be rejected. If so, this is unfortunate,” he said.

Former minister Bhattarai also alleged PM Oli of leading a faction of regressive elements.

“We are against the unconstitutional dissolution of the House of Representatives. We stand for federalism and republicanism,” he added urging all political forces to stand together to demand the reinstatement of the House.
