One killed in Parbat road accident

PARBAT: A person has been killed in a bus accident that occurred at Kushma municipality-8, Paradi along the Mid-Hill Highway in Parbat district on Saturday morning.

The deceased has been identified as 18-year-old Bishal Lamichhane of Chaudandigadhi municipality-2, Udayapur, informed DSP Shiva Raj Budhathoki of District Police Office, Parbat.

According to Budhathoki, the speeding bus, Ga 2 Kha 0098, heading to Baglung from Birgunj had hit a tractor, Ko 1 Cha 6427, boarded by construction workers at 7 am this morning. The tractor was heading to Dobilla from Patichaur carrying workers.

Five among those injured have been sent to Pokhara for treatment while others are undergoing treatment at District Hospital, Parbat.

Police said they are investigating the case after taking the bus and its driver under control.
