PM Deuba arriving home from Glasgow today



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is arriving home today after attending the World Leaders Summit under COP26 held at Glasgow of the United Kingdom.

Prime Minister Deuba had left Kathmandu for London on October 29 leading a 20-member Nepali delegation to attend the summit held on November 1 and 2.

The delegation will land in Kathmandu on Thursday morning on a Qatar Airways flight via Doha from Edinburg.

The team members except Minister for Forest and Environment, Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav, will arrive home on Thursday as Minister Yadav is participating in COP-26.

Before returning home, PM Deuba on Wednesday visited Royal Botanic Garden at Edinburg of Scotland and addressed a ceremony organized in his honor. He also planted a sapling of Betula utilis or the Himalayan birch in Nepali garden.

Prime Minister Deuba had participated in the program organized by All Party Parliamentary Group for Nepal and UK-Nepal Trade and Investment Forum in London and addressed the programs during his visit.

Representatives of Britain-Nepal Society, Non-Resident Nepali Association and representatives of the Nepali Community residing in the London had also met with PM Deuba during his stay.

PM Deuba addressed the World Leaders Summit on November 1 after participating in formal inauguration of COP26. Similarly, he also held bilateral talks with head of the State and Government and senior dignitaries of different countries.
