Over 1,100 foreign nationals enter Nepal in June



KATHMANDU: As many as 1,143 foreign nationals have arrived Nepal via Tribhuvan International Airport in June.

Foreign nationals from 111 countries entered Nepal through chartered and rescue flights amid the second wave of COVID-19 when the country suspended international flights, said the Department of Immigration.

Likewise, the country rescued 9,559 Nepali people who were stranded in various parts of the globe due to coronavirus in June. In the same month, altogether 3,606 foreign nationals and 9,651 Nepali people have exited the country.

According to data with the Department, the country witnessed the highest number of incoming foreign nationals in April. In the month, 22,450 foreign nationals from 144 countries entered the country. In six months, 58,058 foreign tourists entered the country.
