SURKHET: The budget session of the Karnali Province has been convened on June 7.

As recommended by Karnali Province government, Province Governor, Govinda Prasad Kalauni has called the budget session of the Karnali Province Assembly for 2 PM on June 7.

“The meeting of the province assembly has been convened in accordance with Article 183 (1) of the Constitution of Nepal,” Bhim Raj Thani, spokesperson of the Province Governor said.

The all-party meeting called and chaired by Karnali Province Speaker Raj Bahadur Shahi, on Thursday, had decided to request Governor to convene the annual session of the province assembly immediately.

On the same basis, Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi had recommended the province chief to convene the summer session of the parliament.

The government is preparing to bring in a budget of around Rs 30 billion for the new fiscal year.
