Police arrest Nepal Rastra Bank employee

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a female employee of the Central Bank of Nepal on the charge of violating Senior Citizens Act, 2007, on Sunday.

The arrested is identified as Section Officer at Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Sushma Rimal Regmi.

A first information report (FIR) had been filed against her at the Kathmandu District Attorney’s Office and police made the arrest on the basis of arrest warrant from the District Court, said police.

The arrestee allegedly fleeced a senior citizen, one of her family members, of savings and jewelry kept at Machhapuchchhre Bank.
