One arrested from Nagdhunga with Rs 4.3 million and gold jewelries



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a man from Nagdhunga along with Rs 4.3 million and jewelries’.

Police seized the amount and the jewelry in a bus –Province No. 3-01-00-6 Kha 0912 — coming to Kathmandu from Tulsipur of Dang district.

According to the police, a cartoon box recovered from inside the bus contained 3,900 denominations of Rs one thousand and 800 denominations of Rs 500.

Sandeep Kaushal of Tulsipur-5 was arrested along with the money and the gold.

Though he said that the money belonged to him, Kathmandu Police Chief Ashok Singh said that an investigation was underway whether the arrested was involved money laundering.
