AGRA: Security was beefed up at Taj Mahal in Agra ordering evacuation of tourists after police received a bomb threat call Thursday morning.

The call, however, turned out to be a hoax.

The monument was thrown open to tourists after a short closure of the Taj Mahal, according to India Today.

No explosive was found during the searches.

A caller said an explosive device was placed inside the monument and it would blow up any moment.
