Direct flights with Pakistan to promote bilateral trade: Ambassador Adhikari



KATHMANDU: Ambassador of Nepal to Pakistan Tapas Adhikari has emphasized that Pakistan and Nepal have potential to enhance trade and economic cooperation stressing that PIA should explore the possibility of starting direct flights with Nepal.

This, he argued, would help in promoting two-way trade between the two countries, according to the news.com.pk.

Adhikari added that trade promotion would help Nepal and Pakistan to reduce unemployment and improve living standards of their people.

According to him, that the countries have scope to enhance cooperation in tourism sector as both countries possessed highest peaks in the world.

Ambassador Adhikari further stated that Pakistani business community should visit Nepal adding that he would try to bring a delegation of Nepalese businessmen to Pakistan for promoting business linkages between both countries.

He also added that Nepal and Pakistan have also the potential to cooperate with each other in agriculture & livestock, energy, industry, IT, tourism, health & education, banking & finance, civil aviation and other sectors.
