KATHMANDU: Reconstruction of six more schools assisted by India has started.
According to Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, the reconstruction started with a kick-off meeting attended by the Head of Reconstruction wing of the Indian Embassy, Project Director CLPIU (E), Project Consultant (CBRI Roorkee) & contractor.
A total of four schools are being built in Kathmandu and two in Kavre at a cost of Rs 590 million.
The six schools are the last batch of the Government of India’s commitment to reconstructing 71 earthquake affected educational institutions in eight districts of Nepal.
India has committed USD 50 million as a grant for the projects.
