In Pics: Nepali Army worships dogs on Kukur Tihar



KATHMANDU: Nepali Army has worshipped dogs kept at Bhairab Bahan Company at Gaththaghar in Bhaktapur.

Currently, there are 23 German shepherds, Lebrador 55, Cocker Spaniel 7, Golden Retriever 2 and Malinois 1 in the Gaththaghar-based kennel.

Nepali Army selects dogs based on their caliber and age and sends them to the peace-keeping mission from this kennel.

According to Nepali Army, it has been sending trained dogs to the mission for the last 18 years.

Two dogs -San and Kamini – had been deployed to the war-torn country Liberia in 2059 BS at the call of the United Nations, said Nepal Army.
