Home Minister Khand inspects flood-affected areas in far-west



SURKHET: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand, who is also the caretaker Prime Minister, has arrived in Surkhet to inspect the flood-affected areas of Dadeldhura, Bajhang and Baitadi in the far western region.

The Minister will also interact with the locals of the flood and landslide affected areas of the district on the steps to be taken for the reconstruction.

The floods and landslides in those districts had caused great loss of life and property.

The Home Minister was welcomed by local leaders and cadres of the Nepali Congress, including the newly appointed Chief Minister of Karnali, Jeevan Bahadur Shahi.

The Home Minister is accompanied by MPs from those districts, former ministers and people’s representatives and Executive Director of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, Anil Pokharel.
