Nepal sees 679 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 679 new cases of coronavirus while 1,550 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 574 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 105 from antigen method.

Likewise, there are 222 cases in Kathmandu, 13 in Bhaktapur and 20 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the Valley to 255 in past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether seven infected patients died of the infection in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death toll 11,164.
