Police seize more than 2500 kg of firecrackers from Gothatar



KATHMANDU: Police have seized more than 2500 kg of firecrackers from Gothatar in Kathmandu.

Chief of the Crime Branch of the Metropolitan Police, Chandra Kuber Khapung, said that the firecrackers were recovered from a warehouse in Gothatar.

According to him, one person has been taken under control.

“It was brought at different times and kept there,” said SSP Khapung.

Firecrackers have been smuggled from India as Dashain and Tihar festivals have approached.
