Prof Janardan bags Inked Happiness Lifetime Achievement Award

KATHMANDU: The Inked Happiness, a group of fountain-pen lovers worldwide, has awarded Professor Chakrapani (KC) Janardan with the ‘Inked Happiness Lifetime Achievement Award’.

At a virtual event here on Monday, fountain pen lover Janardan was feted with the Award, shared member-secretary of the Sushil Koirala Memorial Foundation, Atul Koirala.

The Foundation is named after former Prime Minister Sushil Koirala. Late Koirala was also a fountain pen lover himself. Awardee Professor Janardan is also one of the members of the Foundation.

Awardee Janardan having a knack for calligraphy has significantly contributed to this sector during his career spanning three decades.

The Award is conferred for his outstanding contribution to the world of writing, writing instruments, and the writers who wield them, according to the Inked Happiness.

During the virtual event, financial advisor to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and fountain pen lover Bibek Debroy, British parliamentarian of Indian origin Virendra Sharma, Foundation’s member-secretary Koirala, Harvard University’s scientist Dr Shovanlal Roy among others spoke on the important role of good writing style.

Professor Janardan is the third recipient of the Award. The first and second ones were Yusuf Mansoor and Sudhir Kalyanikar respectively.
