Janakpur Sub-metropolis waterlogged

JANAKPUR: The Janakpur Sub-metropolis has been inundated following the incessant rainfall.

The poor sewage system has made the situation worse. Janakpurdham is the capital of Province no 2.

Locals say the poor drainage and sewage system constructed by the local government has fueled the problem as the rainwater could not find a proper way out. Bhanu Chowk, Kadam Chowk, Ramananda Chowk, government offices area, and the Province Hospital area have come underwater.

Similarly, the Post Office, Forest Directorate, Family Planning Association, Inland Revenue Office, and the Rastriya Samachar Samiti’s office buildings have been waterlogged.
