Banks to provide services with 25% staff from today

KATHMANDU: Banks and Financial Institutes (BFIs) have been instructed to provide services with a maximum 25 percent of staffers in the office.

Issuing a circular on Sunday, Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the central bank of Nepal, directed all the BFIs to carry out services with 20 percent of staffers at the headquarters and with 25 percent at branch offices.

With the increasing cases of COVID-19 in the country, the government has imposed a prohibitory order in the Kathmandu Valley since last Thursday until May 14.

NRB has directed BFIs to provide services in coordination with the local units.
