Nepal to procure 20,000 oxygen cylinders from China



KATHMANDU: The Nepal government is making preparations to bring 20,000 oxygen cylinders from China.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Finance will initiate the procurement process on the recommendation of the COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC).

Manufacturing companies have been saying that they have not been able to supply sufficient oxygen due to the lack of cylinders.

The demand of oxygen is on the increase with the increasing cases of new variant of COVID-19 in the country.
