Students protest over price hike in petroleum products

KATHMANDU: Students affiliated to various political parties took to the streets in Kathmandu to protest against the price hike in petroleum products.

The agitating students held a demonstration in front of the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) in Kathmandu on Wednesday.

NOC, which had increased the price of petroleum product on February 16, has again increased the price on March 2.

With this hike, a liter of petrol costs Rs 116. Likewise, the diesel and kerosene cost Rs 99 rupees per liter each. The price of LP Gas has not been hiked this time.
