KATHMANDU: A revolving fund of Rs 50 million has been instituted in memory of Mitrasen Dahal, the brainchild of senior citizen village and social activist.
The revolving fund was declared on the 12th day of the demise of Dahal, who died of heart attack at the age of 58.
In order to immortalize the multidimensional personality of Dahal and continue supporting the operation of Maitri Sewa Ashram and other social works, the income of the revolving fund would be mobilized, shared to the revolving fund board of directors.
Dahal had established the Maitri Sewadham Ashram after he underwent his kidney transplant.
He has established the village of senior citizens along with 33 houses at Lapsephedi in Kathmandu. His dream of establishing a well-equipped village in additional 100 ropani of land however was not realized. The fund has been given the name ‘Mitrasen Dahal Senior Citizen Service Fund’.
Dahal, also the founder chairperson of Advertisement Association of Nepal, had authored a book ‘Advertisement Business in Nepal and Development’. He was born in Baruneswor VDC-4, Lamidanda of Okhaldhunga. RSS
