President Bhandari stresses on preserving Nepali original culture



LUMBINI: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has laid emphasis on the need of preserving Nepali original culture and beautiful nature.

At a religious function organized under construction Kailash Ashram Dham at Badganga municipality-2 of Kapilvastu today, President Bhandari said that Nepal’s culture and civilization should be developed, promoted, and preserved.

She shared that such types of religious programs and religious organizations help promote the nature, culture, and civilization of the country.

Recalling the impact of coronavirus on public health in the country, the President stressed that the state should take initiatives to protect its citizens from coronavirus as it is the first responsibility of the state.

She also urged the citizens to follow health safety protocols determined by the government to be protected from COVID-19.

President Bhandari requested to carry out development activities without destroying nature.

Before this, President Bhandari unveiled the two gates constructed at Kailash Ashram Dham and Astachiranjivi Mahakunda (water pond).

Similarly, CPN (UML) Vice-Chairperson Bishnu Prasad Poudel said that he would provide possible support in the development of Kailash Ashram Dham.

Chief Patron of the Ashram, Lokananda Swami, opined that the Ashram would have a significant contribution in the development of this area and the promotion of religious tourism.
