People’s problems mount with weakening NC: Leader Singh

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Prakash Man Singh has said people’s problems would mount if the Nepali Congress becomes weak.

At a program organized by NC Chitwan district committee here to exchange festival greetings, leader Singh further argued that weak presence of the NC has direct bearing on country. He also said although NC had done more important works than the communists did, efforts were underway to enfeeble NC.

“Promulgation of constitution and signing of peace accord, among others were made possible under the NC leadership,” he reminded, wondering why NC faces problem while seeking votes.

The coming leadership from the 14th general convention should be elected as per people’s demand which protects constitution. If the party is run as per its statute and people’s will, no forces can drub it, he asserted.

According to him, NC had no option but to face election on its own- without making alliance with other parties.

On the occasion, Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizen Uma Regmi who is also the NC leader stressed the need that NC must be bold to face the election without making electoral alliance with other political parties.
