NEB takes action against Board Province Chief Batas for irregularities



KATHMANDU: National Examination Board (NEB) has initiated action against board chief of Pradesh 1 Dambar Batas by transferring him to Kathmandu for his alleged involvement in irregularities while examining answer sheets.

The NEB transferred Batas to the central office in Kathmandu after the news that he allegedly allowed the teachers of respective private school to examine the answer sheets of grade 12 came to the fore.

Meanwhile, a probe team to look into the case has been formed under the coordination of board member r and joint secretary Deepak Sharma.

The NEB had arranged and fixed examination centers in the provinces for examining answer-sheets. Batas had allowed the teacher of Maryland School to examine the answer sheets of English subject.

The head teachers of community schools of Pradesh 1 have demanded action against the wrongdoer following a thorough investigation into the case.
The schools had conducted examinations of grade 12 in their respective facilities from September 16 to 24.
