Nepal records 2,004 new COVID-19 cases, 16 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 793 fresh coronavirus cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 2,004 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,619 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 385 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 541 persons in Kathmandu, 152 in Lalitpur, and 100 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the Kathmandu valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 793 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 16 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 1,846 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
