15% fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in Nepal



KATHMANDU: Fifteen percent of the total population in Nepal have been fully vaccinated against coronavirus.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 5,424,836 people across the country have been vaccinated with the first dose and 4,667,328 people have been fully vaccinated.

In terms of percentage, the number of people receiving the first dose of vaccine has reached 18 and the number of both the second dose has reached 15.4 percent, according to the ministry.

Vaccination against coronavirus was started in Nepal last January. The government has set a target of inoculating all eligible citizens by mid-April.

The Nepal government has set a target to vaccinate one third of the eligible citizens by mid-October.
