PM Oli claims there will be enough vaccines from Sunday

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister and ruling CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli has said that there will be no shortage of vaccines against the coronavirus from coming Sunday.

Addressing a meeting of UML Central Committee at his official residence in Baluwatar on Friday, PM Oli claimed that there would be no problem for vaccination.

“Vaccine is no longer a problem. We will get enough from the day after tomorrow,” PM Oli said, “There was some problem as we did not get the second lot of vaccines from India, but now we have made other arrangements.”

He accused that some people leaders are trying to obstruct the procurement process and have been urging other countries not to give vaccines unless the government is changed.

The 13th central meeting of the ruling UML, called after Chairman Oli dismissed the general convention organizing committee decided to ask disgruntled Khanal-Nepal faction of the party to withdraw their signatures in the writ petitions filed against the dissolution of House of Representatives.

Although UML Vice-Chairman Bamdev Gautam attended today’s meeting, Khanal-Nepal faction leaders including Jhala Nath Khanal and Madhav Kumar Nepal did not attend Friday’s meeting.
