Floods likely in Koshi, Narayani, Kankai, Kamala and Bagmati



KATHMANDU: With the monsoon getting active, the water level has increased in the rivers across the country posing risks to the settlements located along the river banks.

The floods are likely in the Koshi, Narayani, Kankai, Kamala, Bagmati, East Rapti rivers and their tributaries today.

Similarly, the water level is likely to surge in the Bhotekoshi River, Tamakoshi, Dudhkoshi, Sunkoshi, Narayani River as well as their tributaries due to the incessant rains since the last few days.

Meanwhile, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has urged all the people especially those living on the river banks to take precautions, warning of floods, inundationa and landslides.
