Water from Larke and Yangri will come to Kathmandu in three years: PM Oli



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli announced that the water from rivers Larke and Yangri too would be brought to Kathmandu by 2024.

Addressing the formal inauguration of the distribution of Melamchi drinking water in Kathmandu valley, PM Oli said channelizing water from Larke and Yangri will not be difficult as a tunnel was already in place.

The PM was of the view that the project of bringing water from the Larke and Yangri rivers of Sindhupalchowk should not exceed three years. He also directed authorities concerned for the same.
