Karnali’s CM Shahi wins vote of confidence

KARNALI: Chief Minister (CM) of Karnali Province Jeevan Bahadur Shahi has received a vote of confidence today.

A total of 22 lawmakers cast votes in favour of Chief Minister Shahi. CPN-UML lawmakers did not take part in the vote of confidence ceremony.

Chief Minister Shahi had tabled a proposal seeking a vote of confidence in the provincial assembly meeting on Tuesday.

In the elections held today, provincial lawmakers from CPN (Maoist Centre), Nepali Congress, CPN (Unified Socialist) and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RSS) voted for Shahi.
