Nepal records 533 new COVID-19 cases, 9 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley witnesses 228 fresh coronavirus cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 533 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 441 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 92 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 162 persons in Kathmandu, 50 in Lalitpur, and 16 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the Kathmandu valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 228 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 9 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 490 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
