Second symbolic protest of ‘Abolish Red Tax’ campaign held (In Pics)



KATHMANDU: Youth Congress Nepal has held second symbolic protest as part of its “Abolish Red Tax” campaign Friday.

Youth Congress Nepal said they organized a second protest following the government’s insensitive response to their demand for repealing the tax on menstrual products. “It is unforgivable to take the issue of women’s reproductive health as a normal affair,” they said.

The way the government is taking menstruation just as a business is unjustifiable, they added.

They warned that they would intensify their protest if the government does not address their demands at the earliest.
