Person who attacked sadhu at Pashupati nabbed



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a person who was on the run after attacking a sadhu at local Pashupatinath area with a khukuri.

Khukuri is the traditional cutting weapon in Nepal.

The arrested has been identified as 37-year-old Tara Bahadur Lamichhane of Chitwan. He had attacked the sadhu named Santosh on the way to the Bishworupa of Pashupati in Kathmandu Metropolis-8.

Lamichhane was arrested from Hepali Height of Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu, Friday.

Police confiscated the khukuri used in the incident and a bag from him, said Spokesperson at the Metropolitan Police Range SP Ramesh Kumar Basnet.
