Incumbent government formed as per constitutional provision: Chair KC

KATHMANDU: Chairperson of Rastriya Janamorcha, Chitra Bahadur KC, has blamed that the largest parties of the country have made politics a business. He said, “Although the country adopted a new system, nature of large parties has not improved. Nationality and republic are trapped due to the conduct of the largest parties.”

At a press meet organized by Progressive Journalists Association in Baglung Friday, he argued, “People are demanding monarchy due to their dissatisfaction towards political parties’ activities. How the republic we struggled for is being attacked.”

Rastriya Janamorcha Chair shared that the current situation has surfaced due to dual character of political parties — becoming a guard of nationality and republic when they are out of power, and focusing their attention to their own and their relatives’ cause when they are in power.

He mentioned, “The incumbent government has been formed as per the constitutional provision. The ordinance brought by the government is an outcome of compulsion.” The situation would determine whether the five-party alliance will last or not, he added.
