NEPSE closes with minor gain

KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Ltd (NEPSE) has ended in the green on Wednesday.

The NEPSE has increased by 1.14 points today.

With today’s increment, the index has reached 2976.98 points.

A total of 17.182 million shares of 226 companies traded today resulting in a turnover of Rs 9.35 billion.

The share price of 68 companies increased today while 105 declined.

Similarly, the prices of 11 companies remained stable.

The index of the Banking group increased by 7 points, hotel and tourism by 130 points, and the life insurance group by 74 points.

All other groups have declined.

The index of trade group decreased by 7 points, development banks by 40 points, hydropower by 19 points, finance by 87 points, non-life insurance by 63 points, manufacturing by 2 points, others by 1 point, and microfinance group by 5 points.

Ruru Hydropower Company increased the most by 7.5 percent.

Prices of Oriental Hotel, Himalayan Energy Development, and United Modi Hydropower rose 6 percent.

Similarly, the share price of Sunrise First Mutual Fund has dropped the most by 10 percent.

Even after the price adjustment after the dividend announcement, the company’s price has dropped by Rs 1.31 per share.

Similarly, Khanikhola Hydro declined by 7.7 percent and Guheshwari Merchant by 6 percent.

The value of Corporate Development Bank shrunk by 5.7 percent and that of ICFC Finance by 5.2 percent.

Arun Valley Hydropower topped the list in terms of turnover.

The company had a turnover of around Rs 600 million. United Modi Hydro had a turnover of Rs 300 million.  Likewise, Rs 230 million shares of Api Power were bought and sold today.
