SC refutes Prachanda’s review petition on NCP nullification

KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court (SC) has ruled that no hearing would be carried out on the review petition filed by CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal alias Prachanda.

A joint bench of Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana and Justices Prakash Kumar Dhungana and Tej Bahadur KC has denied hearing the review petition filed by Maoist Center Chairman Prachanda.

Prachanda had filed a review petition on Wednesday, against the Supreme Court (SC) verdict that nullified the unification between his party and the CPN-UML.

It should be noted that a joint bench of Justices Kumar Regmi and Bam Kumar Shrestha had on March 7 nullified the unification between CPN (Maoist Center) and the CPN-UML.

The verdict had also reinstated the parties to their previous status.
