Govt has not turned caretaker: Spokesperson Gurung

KATHMANDU: Government Spokesperson Parbat Gurung, who is also the Minister for Communications and Information Technology, has claimed that the government has not turned caretaker despite the dissolution of the House of Representatives.

Spokesperson Gurung said so at a press conference on Friday organized to make public Cabinet decisions.

Minister Gurung also claimed that this issue can’t be questioned on the grounds of the constitution, adding that all the work of the government was legal.

“The government has not turned into a caretaker one. The actions taken by the government are legal,” he said, adding that there was no political agenda on the streets.

He also urged all political parties to abandon the demand for reinstatement of the parliament and focus on the election.
