House passes condolence motion over demise of ex-lawmaker



KATHMANDU: A condolence motion on the demise of former lawmaker Gambhir Jung Karki was presented in a meeting of the House of Representatives which was later endorsed by the session.

Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota tabled the motion in the session.

Karki has been elected to the House of Representatives from the Palpa Constituency 2 during the 1991 elections on a Nepali Congress seat.

He has made a significant contribution to the democratic movements in the country.

He had passed away on January 25 at the age of 74.  The Lower House shall meet again at 1:00 on February 4.
