SSP Saurav Rana suspended over sexual abuse



KATHMANDU: Home Ministry has suspended a high ranking official of Nepal Police on the charge of sexually exploiting a woman.

The Home Ministry suspended SSP Saurav Rana. He allegedly sexually abused a woman while he was working at the federal police unit Dharan.

In October last year, the victim had lodged a case at the Home Ministry accusing Rana of sexually exploiting her.

Meanwhile, the Home Ministry has sent a letter to the police headquarters to thoroughly look into the case leveled against Rana.
