House panel seeks reasons for delay in 4G expansion



KATHMANDU: The Development and Technology Committee under the House of Representatives has directed the government to furnish reasons for the delay in the expansion of 4G coverage of the state-owned Nepal Telecom.

Friday’s meeting of the committee directed the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Nepal Telecommunication Authority to furnish the reasons within seven days for failure to finish the network expansion works within the stipulated time.

The ministry has also been instructed to submit an action plan to the committee within 30 days for quality and service expansion saying that the service of the telecommunication is not effective.
