Employees deployed in coronavirus-hit sector insured for Rs 2.5 mln



KATHMANDU: The government has decided to insure security personnel, heath workers, sanitation workers and ambulance drivers deployed in the coronavirus-hit sectors against the novel virus.

A cabinet meeting held on Sunday took a decision to this effect. According to the decision, those who will be deployed in the coronavirus-hit sector will be insured for Rs 2.5 million which will remain effective until July 15, 2020.

The government took this decision saying that the staffers deployed in the treatment, prevention and control of coronavirus infection are at high risk.
