‘Murderer’ of Bangladeshi national arrested

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested a man in connection with the murder of Bangladeshi national Mohiuddin Ahmad.

Dullamiya, the murder-accused of Ahmad, was arrested from Nepal-India border Kankadvitta on Wednesday night, SSP Uttam Subedi said.

Arrested Dullamiya is being being brought to Kathmandu for a necessary action.

Bangladeshi national Ahmad, 45, had been murdered at Hotel Grand Villa in the capital on January 21.

A regular customer of casinos based in Kathmandu, Ahad had come to Kathmandu on January 20 with his friend Dullamiya. Dullamiya had booked Room No. 114 of Grand Villa Hotel for Ahmad, according to police.

Based on a CCTV footage, police have concluded that Dullamiya apparently murdered Ahmad.
