Two killed in Dhanusha pile-up



DHANUSHA: Two persons have died in a road accident in Dhanusha district.

According to the Area Police Office, Dhalkebar, two persons were killed when three vehicles collided with each other at Dharapani Maltol in Dhanushadham Municipality-9 last night.

The pickup Bolero (Na 4 Cha 9317) heading towards east was hit by an Indian truck (BR 06 GD 8859) coming from the opposite direction at Maltol on the East-West Highway.

According to the Area Police Office, Dhalkewar, an oil tanker (Ko 1 Kha 2338) heading towards the east collided with the Indian truck.

The deceased have been identified as Arjun Kumar Mandal, 36, of Biratnagar Ward No. 4, Morang and Rangeela Kumar, 20, an Indian truck driver.

The co-driver of the tanker Dhanraj Yadav of Biratnagar Ward No. 4 was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to Biratnagar for further treatment, police said.

Similarly, the co-driver of the Indian truck was also injured and is undergoing treatment at the Provincial Hospital, Janakpurdham, police said.
