Final rites of leader Chaurasiya performed after eight days



PARSA: Final rites of Secretary of Bindhabasani Rural Municipality committee of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Mukesh Chaurasiya, were performed on Friday – eight days after the death.

The final rites were performed after police registered a complaint filed by Chaurasiya family indicating the murder suspects. NCP standing committee member and former minister Matrika Prasad Yadav, central members- Nagendra Chaudhary and Ram Chandra Sah, extended last tribute to Chauraisya by draping the dead body with party flag.

Chaurasiya, injured on October 22 in a dispute erupted in a swearing-in programme at the rural municipality, had died in course of treatment on October 23.
