KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has summoned a meeting of top-notch leaders of the party.

Deuba called a meeting to discuss with the top leaders on Monday ahead of the meeting of the Central Working Committee slated for Friday.

A meeting of the top leaders was convened to discuss the issues of Central Working Committee meeting and preparations for the upcoming General Convention, said NC Joint General Secretary Prakash Sharan Mahat.

According to Mahat, the meeting will also discuss the protest letter submitted by the party’s senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel and other leaders.

The meeting of the top leaders will decide the agenda to be presented at the meeting of the Central Working Committee.

The Poudel faction demands that the issues raised by them should be resolved before the meeting of the Central Working Committee.
