Province 2 sees 227 new cases of COVID-19 in last 24 hours

Province Corona case tally exceeds 10,000



JANAKPURDHAM: With 227 new cases of coronavirus pandemic in last 24 hours, the number of coronavirus cases in Province 2 has crossed 10,000 till date.

According to the Ministry of Social Development of Province 2, the province has witnessed 71 new cases in Dhanusha, 49 in Parsa, 35 each in Mahottari and Sarlahi, 30 in Bara, 4 in Saptari and 1 in Rautahat on Sunday.

Among the new cases include some health workers of different municipalities and members of security forces including Nepal Police and Traffic Police, among others.

According to Bijay Jha, the Senior Public Health Administrator at the Health Directorate of Province 2, the number of coronavirus cases in the Province has reached 10,022 by Sunday.
