79 diagnosed coronavirus positive in tests at Narayani Hospital

PARSA: A laboratory test at Narayani Hospital in Birgunj has confirmed the coronavirus infection in 79 people.

A PCR test carried out on Saturday diagnosed the infection in a kid as young as six months and man as old as 97 years, said Narayani Hospital’s Spokesperson Dr. Atulesh Chaurasiya.

A total of 47 from Parsa, 30 from Bara, one each from Morang and Kathmandu were found coronavirus positive when 422 samples were tested.

Of the total infected people in Parsa, 12 are from Pokhariya Municipality and others are from different wards of Birgunj Metropolitan City.

Similarly, out of 30 infected people of Bara, three are from Bishrampur, two from Mahagadhimai, two from Jitpur Simara and the rest are from different wards of Kalaiya sub-metropolis.
