KATHMANDU: A meeting of the Direction Committee of COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) has decided to increase the scope of testing by sealing high-risk area areas.

A meeting of the committee held on Thursday decided to extend the scope of PCR testing by analyzing the condition of the risky area after the lockdown enforced to stem the spread of coronavirus was ended, said Secretary to the Prime Minister and Office of the Council of Ministers Mahendra Prasad Guragain.

The meeting has also given the responsibility to the concerned ministries to prepare the necessary health protocols for the operation of the services that are resuming from August 17.

The CCMC has stated that the risk of infection has increased due to non-compliance with the criteria set by the Ministry of Health and Population. The meeting also discussed how to reduce the infection in such cases.
