3 soldiers of Assam Rifles killed near Indo-Myanmar border



MANIPUR: Three soldiers of the Assam Rifles were killed while six others injured in an ambush on the Army unit near the Myanmar border in Manipur’s Chandel district.

The ambush occurred late on Wednesday night near the Myanmar border in Sajik Tampak in the district.

The Assam Rifles personnel had on July 29 launched an area domination patrol in Khongtal, and when the team was returning, insurgents detonated an IED and opened fire.

Around 6 personnel have sustained injuries and have been shifted to a military hospital in Leimakhong.
