COVID-19 tally at Nepal Police HQ reaches 44 with nine new cases

KATHMANDU: Nine more police officials working at the Nepal Police Headquarters have been infected with the COVID-19.

According to SSP Kuber Kadayat, nine more police personnel were found infected with coronavirus during test at the Nepal Police Hospital, Maharajgunj.

With this, the number of coronavirus cases at the police headquarters alone has reached 44.

The infected have been sent to APF Hospital in Balambu for further treatment, said spokesperson Kadayat.

Meanwhile, the influx of people into the police headquarters has been tightened after the number of infected cases surged.

SSP Kadayat said that those who came for urgent work were given admission by adopting necessary security measures.
